Winners Concert
The award ceremony will take place during the Winners’ Concert, held in Mendelssohn Hall at the University of Music and Theatre Hamburg.
Selected prize winners may be invited to perform in the concert. The hall features a Steinway Model D concert grand piano, providing an outstanding concert setting for the performances.

Awards & Prizes
Winners in each category will receive trophies or medals, certificates, and cash prizes as applicable.
Prize winners may also be invited to perform in the Winners’ Recital, where their performances will be professionally recorded.

Jury
The jury is composed of recognized experts in the field. Their decisions are final and binding, and the results are not subject to appeal.

Repertoire Requirements
Catergories C4-C6
Participants in C4-6 are required to perform two contrasting works from the standard classical repertoire, representing different stylistic periods.
The works must be selected from one or more of the following categories:
· Baroque· Classical· Romantic· Impressionistic· ContemporaryRepertoire Declaration for all categories
Participants must declare their complete repertoire at the time of application.
Changes to the submitted repertoire are not permitted after the application has been submitted.
Competition Rules
Eligibility
The competition is open to pianists and violinists aged up to 19 of all nationalities.
Participants will be assigned to categories according to their age as of July 11, 2026.
Performance Time
Participants must observe the maximum performance time specified for their categories.
If a performance exceeds the allotted time, the jury reserves the right to stop the performance without penalty to the participant.
Memorization
All repertoire must be performed from memory.
Works composed after 1950 may be performed with the score.
Score Submission
Participants must provide a score for each work performed for use by the jury.
Scores should be published editions. Digital scores are accepted provided that proof of purchase is available.
Printed digital scores must be securely bound or placed in a binder, folder, or similar format to allow convenient page turning. Loose pages are not permitted.
For clarity during adjudication, the first measure of each system should be clearly numbered.
Order of Performance
The order of performance will be determined by the Competition Committee.
Jury Decisions
All decisions of the jury are final and not subject to appeal.
Awards & Prizes
Prizes will be awarded in each category based on the results of the competition.
Announcement of Results
Competition results will be announced during the Winners’ Recital on July 12th, 2026, following the jury’s final deliberation.
Results will also be published on the festival website.
First Prize
First Prize winners will receive:

• Professional Recording of the performance
• 30-minute Online Lesson Voucher with a festival faculty member (Categories C4–C6)
Second Prize
Second Prize winners will receive:
• Medal

Third Prize
Third Prize winners will receive:
• Medal
• Certificate of Award
• Cash Prize (where applicable)
• Professional Recording of the performance
Honorable Mention
Participants awarded Honorable Mention will receive:
• Certificate of Recognition
Winners’ Recital
Prize winners may be invited to perform in the Winners’ Recital.
Performances in the Winners’ Recital will be professionally recorded, and prize winners will receive a recording of their performance.
Additional Provisions
The Jury reserves the right not to award a prize if the required artistic standard is not met.
Some prizes may vary depending on the category.
